Three ways you can get involved

John Thurso and the Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross Liberal Democrats campaign all year round across the area on issues that really matter to local people. From the most local street issues to those that affect the whole of the north such as improved road and rail links, fairer fuel prices, maintaining our Post Office network and job creation - the Liberal Democrats are working together for the whole area. You can help us give our area a strong voice: our campaigning relies on volunteers and donations - we are not backed by big business and trade unions, and our leaflets and campaigning are paid for and distributed through local donations and support.

Make a Donation

Unlike other Political Parties who receive many large donations from big businesses and multi-millionaires, the Liberal Democrats mainly rely on our members and supporters for funding. With thousands of supporters across the country each making a small donation, we raise our funds to pay for leaflets, newspapers and campaigning.

Every extra pound we have to spend in the Highlands will be spent on local campaigning.

What your money could buy - a local newsletter, a survey or letter to help us get feed back on specific issues, a stall in the high street or at a college open day... and many more things that can make a difference locally.

Whatever you can afford, your donation would be used to make a real difference to the campaign. Please support our campaign with a donation today by sending a cheque to: CSER Liberal Democrats, 26 Tower Street, Tain, IV19 1DY. Thank you!

Make Sure You Can Vote

At each election, many people fully intend to vote but then end up busy on pollling day and don't get the chance to make their voice heard.

Make sure your vote and voice is heard by making sure you are on the register, and applying for a postal vote. Every elector is entitled to vote by post, and your ballot paper will be sent to you around 2 weeks before polling day, with clear instructions and a reply paid envelope. You can vote at home, and return your vote before polling day. Alternatively you can still take your postal vote to the polling station on polling day.

If you are a registered elector, you can register to vote by post using the link below - your completed request is then sent directly to the Election Returning Officer. If you are not sure if you are on the electoral register and entitled to vote, you can either use the link below to register, or call the Electoral Registration helpline on 01463 703340
